I watched "Ip Man" recently... It's not that... I don't like... I don't believe...
As a child I believed! Believed in "The 36th Chamber of Shaolin" and in "Dancing with the Drunken Mantis"... And now, when I reviewed "Mars Villa" with the feeling of nostalgia I felt a childlike sense of belief in the magic of kung fu (and also a good irony over that same belief), "diamond" shirt and so on... One old friend of mine who said once that I have "children's psychological "kung fu" trauma" ;)
So we decided with the same "kung-fu-traumatized" Solyankin to release all this accumulated pain and belief from us, as they say to make a "kung-fu-repentance": make true kung fu video, which people can believe! New Solyankin's home was chosen as a place of action, time chosen was celebration of the New Year. The scenario of repentance... hmmmm... The scenario was written during filming.
Fortunately, the camera that day fell into the hands of a professional Alexei Oshin (he stated my "trauma"). He used his skills to smooth all flaws of our scenario and kung fu technique. But! In any case, we've got a great action movie showing the many facets of kung fu art: here you can see the fight with weapons, wing-chun, and usage of everyday items, acrobatics and more.
Skeptics might argue: "Guys, evil wins in your film!" (looking at the exterior of Solyankin, he is clearly an evil genius in the video). But we bravely fend off: "Yes, evil wins ... But how! Have you ever seen the death from vinyl release in kung fu movies?" And if also consider that it is vinyl released by Solyankin and Co, desire to revise the story again and rejoice at the victory of evil only increases...
